Upsetting Process of Drill Pipe Body Patented by State Intellectual Property Office(SIPO)
Molong News: On Feb.3,2010, Upsetting Process of Drill Pipe Body patented by SIPO.
Over past years, Molong has been paid more attention to the R&D of New products and application for all the inventions of new products and process, among which are 4 patents and more than 10 new practical patents. Three practical patents were awarded by SIPO.
This process illustrates a method of end upsetting of drill pipe body,which decides the body quality during the production of drill pipe body from the operation’s experience. Molong techinical center developed a new process from the current upsetting experience based on our running facility, i.e three-times heating and twice upsetting or four times heating and three-times upsetting, two of first two heating are done on two heating upsetting furnaces in sequence and exlusive of internal and external upsetting in the menwhile. This method avoids unstaibility due to transformation internationally and externationally, guaranteeing the smooth transition of internal cone and body from internal upsetted area to the body. Compared with onging process, under the condition of hydraulic upsetter, not only the production time is shortened and the production yield is raised, but also the internal smooth transition is achieved, prolonging antifatigue life and reducing the possibility of body implacement max.
The invention was applied on July 18,2008 by Molong, noted by SIPO on July 25,2008 and patented by SIPO on Feb.3,2010,which add up the gap of new products of patents as a motivation role of R&D of new products.
The applications and appovals not only become the important sign of new products and new technology but also provide the basis of being granted by the central government and province and local government.
